Leadership Team
Gia Lau is the founder and owner of Clique International. She has been scrapbooking for over 30 years and has been involved in the arts and crafts industry as a side gig from her day job as a full time mother and psychiatrist for many years whether as a design team member, blogger, or mixed media and collage artist. Her most recent passions have been watercolors, illustration, and graphic design...all entirely self taught. As the Creative Director of Clique International she wears many hats including the main purveyor and buyer of supplies that meet our standard values, kit curator, and manager of warehouse and shipping operations from her home on Maui in the Hawaiian Islands. As a doctor specializing in treatment of mental illness Gia uses art as therapy and self care and encourages others to do the same! She is an advocate for mental health, women's issues, human rights, and the environment.
Nicole Gallovich-Kerr is the Clique International Design Team Leader. She is a scrapbooker and art journaler and is experienced in maintaining many different formats of memory keeping including project life, traditional layouts, travelers notebooks, art journals, memory planning, and more. Nicole leans toward mixed media in style and loves to incorporate cut files she designs for herself and for the Clique. Nicole has taught classes for Clique International, designs cut files, works on design teams, has a You Tube channel, and an Etsy shop where she sells handmade embellishments and watercolor half pans. As a mom and full time professional in finance, she uses both sides of her brain with ease and her eclectic interests and skills are an awesome fit in fulfilling her role as leader of our diverse and amazingly talented design team. She lives in Pennsylvania with her husband and two boys and you can find her on social media "for sarcasm and art".
Charissa Potrafka is behind the scenes as our Home Office manager and IT assistant! She will likely be the one to respond to customer service inquiries and help with the website and blog from the back end. But if you think that Charissa's talents are all administrative you could not be more wrong. She is a jewelry designer and artisan who creates earrings and pendants with recycled aluminum cans. She comes from a family of artists who owned an art gallery and her brother is a successful potter and sculptor. Since joining our leadership team Charissa has been making memory dex cards and decorating her planner/journal in her spare time when she is not trying a new recipe in her Instapot. She calls herself a problem solver and she enjoys the challenge of figuring out how to make something work when others would just give up. Did I mention she is a cat mom and also fosters rescued cats until they are rehomed? You can find her on social media wherever there are cat pics.
